Why Calgary Businesses Trust

               PCe Solutions

Peter Perez    ·  PCe Solutions  ·  Calgary, Alberta

What problem does PCe Solutions solve?

Most business owners don't think about their IT until it breaks — and by then, it's costing them money, clients, and sleep. Surprise invoices, support tickets that sit for days, security sold as an optional add-on, and compliance requirements nobody on staff fully understands. For small and mid-sized businesses in Calgary, that's the normal state of managed IT — and it's exactly the problem PCe Solutions was built to eliminate.

PCe Solutions delivers managed IT services in Calgary and across Alberta on one flat monthly rate, with guarantees written directly into every contract: response times under 30 minutes, 24/7/365 monitoring, and cybersecurity included by default — never sold separately. Founded in 2010 by President Peter Perez, the company has grown from a one-person consultancy into a 23-person team serving clients in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Toronto, and Tampa Bay, Florida.

Their ideal client is a growth-focused business with 5 to 200 employees — typically in engineering, healthcare, or financial services — that takes the security of its own data and its clients' data seriously, and wants one accountable partner instead of a patchwork of vendors.

What makes PCe Solutions different?

Guarantees written into the contract — not the sales pitch

Plenty of IT providers promise fast support. PCe puts it in writing: every contract guarantees a response time of under 30 minutes, backed by around-the-clock monitoring that catches most issues before a client's team ever notices them. Pricing is one flat monthly rate based on seat count — no per-ticket charges, no surprise invoices.

Perez is blunt about why that structure matters. Most IT problems that drag on for months aren't technical failures — they're incentive failures.

The PCe Solutions approach to managed IT services

Assessment first, always

Every engagement starts with listening, not selling. Before recommending anything, PCe assesses the business — its goals, its current technology, and the gap between the two — so every proposal is built around that specific client rather than a generic checklist. The proposal itself is plain language: what gets done, what it costs, when it happens.

Once a client signs on, PCe handles the entire transition behind the scenes. Onboarding typically takes 15 days, and clients consistently report their team barely noticed the change. From there, the relationship is actively managed: a dedicated IT manager, quarterly business reviews, and regular satisfaction surveys keep the technology strategy aligned as the business evolves.

What that looks like for a real client

Reinbold Engineering came to PCe after their long-time IT provider retired, followed by a string of vendors who relied on short-term fixes and never followed through. Their infrastructure was fragmented, remote office performance was poor, and their team had stopped expecting IT support to actually solve anything.

PCe ran a full assessment, then modernized the firm's network and infrastructure. Within three months the difference was measurable: faster support, better remote office performance, and a noticeable lift in employee morale. Their CFO, Peter Teunissen, put it simply — the team is knowledgeable and responsive, and there's something to be said for actually getting what you pay for.

Frequently asked questions

How much do managed IT services cost in Calgary?

PCe Solutions works on one flat monthly rate based on your seat count, so there are no surprise invoices or per-ticket charges. Most engagements start around $2,000 per month depending on the size and complexity of the business. Major infrastructure and compliance projects are scoped separately and have ranged from under $1,000 for targeted fixes to $150,000–$400,000 for large-scale builds.

How fast does PCe Solutions respond when something breaks?

Every PCe contract includes a written guarantee of under-30-minute response time, backed by 24/7/365 monitoring. In practice, most issues are caught and resolved before a client's team even notices them.

Will switching IT providers disrupt my business?

No — PCe's onboarding process typically takes 15 days, and clients consistently report their teams barely noticed the change. The transition, including auditing the current environment and migrating systems, is handled entirely behind the scenes.

Can PCe Solutions handle PIPEDA, OSFI, or CMMC compliance requirements?

Yes. PCe holds Controlled Goods Program certification with the Government of Canada and runs a dedicated GRC practice covering PIPA, PIPEDA, HIA, and OSFI for engineering, healthcare, and financial clients. For businesses with US defense-industrial-base ties, PCe's CMMC Registered Practitioners have guided multiple clients to CMMC Level 1 and Level 2 readiness.

What makes PCe Solutions different from other IT companies in Calgary?

Three things: guarantees written directly into every contract rather than promised verbally, genuine compliance depth most MSPs don't have, and an AI service — Managed Intelligence — that was proven on PCe's own operations before it was ever offered to a client. Everything is delivered in-house with no subcontractors, so one accountable team handles IT, security, cloud, and AI.

What inspired Peter Perez to build PCe Solutions?

Peter's path into the business started with a detour that didn't work. Out of high school, his mother wanted him in law, so he enrolled in criminology and political science at Mount Royal University — and was miserable. What made it click wasn't the classroom: all through those courses he kept taking IT side jobs at night, small projects for small businesses, and that was the part of his week he looked forward to.

| |  "I realized I'd been treating the real thing as the hobby. I dropped out, enrolled at SAIT for network engineering, and never second-guessed it again." — Peter Perez, President — PCe Solutions  | |

After SAIT, Perez spent six years in support, network engineering, and management roles at a multinational IT company — and saw the gap firsthand. Enterprise-grade IT strategy was reserved for companies with big budgets, while small and mid-sized businesses got reactive, band-aid support from generalists. In 2010 he left his corporate position to build PCe Solutions around one idea: bring that same enterprise-class skill to SMBs at a price they could actually afford. Sixteen years later, the side job he carried through college is a team of 23 serving clients across Canada and the US — grown almost entirely through word-of-mouth.
