Meet Janeen Murphy, Vice President Donor Engagement for the Calgary Foundation. The Calgary Foundations organizes donations to the various non-profit organizations in Calgary. They provide funding to a wide variety of charities, who can apply to the Calgary Foundation for funding. On the flip side they inspire donors and local Calgarians to give back in an effective manner.
As Janine points out, “our community is not strong, without a strong charitable sector in it.” A community where everyone belongs.

Since 1955, Calgary Foundation has been nurturing a healthy, vibrant, giving and caring community that supports all people.
The Foundation facilitates collaborative philanthropy by making powerful connections between donors and community organizations for the long-term benefit of Calgary and area. In 2020-21, Calgary Foundation saw $88.7 million in new contributions, 64 new funds established, had an asset base of $1.2 billion and granted $66.9 million to 1,105 charitable organizations.
