At Amato Gelato a great experience awaits!
Owner Dino Falvo claims he introduced Calgary to gelato by setting up the very first gelateria in the city.
He brought Amato Gelato to Calgary almost 20 years ago from Vancouver, yes you read that right. The company is a wholesale gelato manufacturer that has been in business for over 90 years now. When they decided to expand their sales to Calgary Dino struggled with retailer customers that weren’t familiar with gelato.
Since there is no better way to learn about gelato than to taste it, Amato Gelato Café was set up in Kensington.
The great news for Calgary, there is now a second Amato Gelato Café, which is located on 17th Avenue at 5th Street SW.
